Symposium: Empowering Young Academics to Shape Climate-Resilient Urban Futures in the Arab Region

The DAAD Regional Office Cairo invites you to participate in a symposium entitled “Empowering Young Academics to Shape Climate-Resilient Urban Futures in the Arab Region”. The symposium is organised within the framework of the DAAD project “Clusters of Scientific Innovation in the Middle East and North Africa” (COSIMENA), and in cooperation with Technische Universität Berlin.

Location: On-site Event; DAAD Regional Office Cairo

The workshop aims to shed light on the following perspectives:

Bridging geographical gaps, fostering a shared understanding of climate-resilient urban development challenges and solutions
Exchanging knowledge to cultivate a new generation of researchers keen on engaging in collaborative endeavors between Germany and the MENA region
Sharing challenges and mutual goals in climate-resilient urban development in the MENA region
Facilitating a vibrant exchange of ideas and experiences with local and international experts in the field

Target Group

Academics, Educators, Policymakers and Government officials, Environmental and Social Advocates, NGO Representatives, and Professionals in urban planning, architecture, and sustainable development
