COSIMENA-funded Symposium: Bridging the Gap Between Neurodevelopment and Neurodegeneration: A Multi-disciplinary Approach

The symposium is organized in cooperation with Nile University and Cairo University within the framework of the COSIMENA Call for funding 2025. The symposium is dedicated to advancing a holistic and multidisciplinary understanding of neurodevelopment and neurodegeneration, two interconnected, but often perceived to be separate, domains of neuroscience.

Juhayna Square, 26th July Corridor, Sheikh Zayed City, Giza

The event aims to shed light on the following perspectives

  • Neurodevelopmental research, including neurodevelopmental disorders
  • Neurodegenerative diseases
  • Translation of research findings into societal applications
  • Cultural translation and adaptation of cognitive assessment tools
  • The intersection between neurodegenerative diseases, environment, society and ethics

Target Group

Join leading experts, researchers, graduate and undergraduate students from across the MENA region, Germany, and the United States for two dynamic days of talks, discussions, and workshops exploring the latest insights at the frontier of neuroscience.
