Call for Applications: DAAD Research Ambassadors 2026/27
DAAD Research Ambassadors are academics based at Egyptian universities outside Cairo who promote opportunities for research and study in Germany and support students and researchers interested in academic exchange and cooperation with Germany.
Who can apply?
- PhD-holders, postdocs and/or senior scientists.
- DAAD-Alumni; (or) have completed a total of at least 10 months conducting research in Germany at the doctoral level or above.
- Familiar with the current research landscape in Germany for their respective discipline.
Female scientists are particularly encouraged to apply.
Research Ambassador Duties
- Promote research and study opportunities in Germany within their institution and academic community
- Organize information sessions and events on campus and in the wider region
- Advise students, scientists, and potential PhD candidates interested in Germany
- Submit short semester reports to DAAD Cairo
