COSIMENA Funded Summer School - Spreading Depolarization & Brain Dynamics 2026: Monitoring, Mechanisms & Translational Application
Within the framework of the COSIMENA Call for Partnerships 2026, this event is organized in cooperation with the University of Oldenburg, Cairo University and the DAAD-Regional Office Cairo bringing together neurology experts from Egypt and Germany. The event format, a hands-on summer school, is dedicated to providing practical training and fostering interdisciplinary exchange in SD-focused neuroscience research.

- Understanding the mechanisms and clinical relevance of Spreading Depolarizations (SDs)
- Hands-on training in SD induction, monitoring, and analysis using state-of-the-art equipment
- Promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and building research capacity in SD-focused neuroscience in Egypt
Target Group
Doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, medical specialists, and applicants from Neurosciences, Clinical Neurology, Physiology, Physiotherapy, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Human Medicine, or Pharmacology are especially encouraged to apply.
