German Science Days 2026
The DAAD Regional Office Cairo invites you to participate in the German Science Days 2026, which will be held on 15th & 16th of September 2026, in the framework of its project “Clusters of Scientific Innovation in the Middle East and North Africa” (COSIMENA).
Get a chance to interact with the largest gathering of German Universities like:
- Technical University of Berlin, represented by Prof. Dr. Boris Heinz (Community Energy & Climate Change), Prof. Dr. Fontina Petrakopoulou (Sustainability Research), and Christina Stahlbock, who will present study and research opportunities at TU Berlin.
- Freie Universität Berlin , represented by Hoda El-Mahgoub, Prof. Dr. Carola Richter (Media Systems), and Dr. Ahmed Hassan (Pharmacology & Toxicology).
- Marburg University, represented by Irene El-Khorazaty, Prof. Dr. Martin Koch (Photonics), and Prof. Dr. Michael Stephan, who will share insights into research opportunities and innovation.
- University of Cologne, represented by Rabab El-Tanamly, Prof. Dr. Mirjam Brusius (Anthropology), and Prof. Dr. Iris Schröder, contributing to the Global History and Social Sciences programme.
- University of Erfurt, represented by Prof. Dr. Felix Schürmann and Prof. Dr. Iris Schröder, who will present research opportunities in the fields of history and social sciences.
- University of Rostock, represented by Dr. Mohamed El-Gamal, who will present his work on Urbanism & Mobility.
- Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, represented by Dr. Patrick Dömer (Neurosurgery & Biology), together with university representatives introducing research opportunities.
- Leibniz University Hannover, represented by Prof. Nabil A. Fouad (Engineering, Physics & Geology), alongside university representatives.
- University of Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, represented by Dr. Miriam Lüdtke-Handjery (Computer Science & Cyber Security), Dr. Iman Awaad (Robotics), and university representatives.
In addition, you can meet Germany’s research funding organisations:
- German Research Foundation (DFG), represented by Dr. Annina Lottermann, providing valuable insights into research funding and collaboration opportunities.
