Since first opening its doors in 1960, the DAAD Regional Office Cairo has supported for more than 65 years not only students, researchers, and academics, but also culturally engaged travelers and members of the local community.

The DAAD office in Cairo is located on the Nile island of Zamalek, in the center of Cairo. The Cairo office is the contact point for all German students who are studying or intend to study at an Egyptian university, as well as for all Egyptian students who are interested in studying in Germany. It offers individual advice and assistance with scholarship applications and selection, as well as regular and varied events in Cairo and Egypt.
