Conferences of German Studies

To further strengthen the national and international networks in Egypt and in the MENA region, the DAAD Cairo Office organises German language studies conferences on a regular basis. Moreover, special didactics seminars are offered to young German language lecturers working in the academic education.

alMena Conference 2019

The DAAD Regional Office Cairo hosted the alMena ٣ Conference on German Studies from 10th to 12th of July 2019. 30 presentations, workshops and panel discussions created the basis for constructive debates on the main topic of the Conference: the Arabic German language contact as an integral part of all German Study Programmes in the MENA Region.

The DAAD Cairo Office organised the alMena conference on German Studies and German as a Foreign Language (DaF) from May 14-16 2017 in Cairo. 100 scientists from 14 countries came together to discuss current developments in German Studies in the region.
