The Museums Lab

© TheMuseumsLab
The programme “TheMuseumsLab” brings together 50 African and European participants with prior experience in the area of museology.

The programme provides measures for the participants to discuss current developments in museum and heritage studies and allows them to get to know the European museum landscape by conducting visits to a wide range of partner museums in Germany and other European countries. In the framework of various educational seminars, the participants are taught valuable skills and competencies which enhance their work at museums in their home countries. The programme thus contributes to the establishment of a global network of skilled representatives of the museology field.

For more information and in order to apply, please read the official call for applications: Scholarship Database – DAAD – Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst

The programme was developed by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin (MfN), the Master‘s Programme in Museum Management and Communication at the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin (HTW) and the African consultancy group The Advisors.
